Established in June 2015, EucoLight, the European association of collection and recycling organisations for WEEE lamps and lighting is celebrating its 5th Anniversary.
On behalf of its 20 members, EucoLight provides constructive input to support implementation of pragmatic EU legislation enabling the effective and sustainble collection and recycling of WEEE lamps and lighting. We advocate for EU harmonised rules for a level playing field.
Since the begining, EucoLight has embarked into constructive dialogue with relevant stakeholders to promote the positive roles Extended Producer Responsibility organisations on the environment and society.
EucoLight members collecte and recycle, in aggregate, 80% of lamp waste in the 19 countries in which they operate.
In 2019, EucoLight members collected 52 000 tonnes of lighting products and have established 127 000 lighting collection points.
